Whoops, I've just noticed that I've forgotton to add my credit to the image. I'll sort that out ASAP. Yeah, it was rendered in layers in 3DS Max (planet/lantean warships/hiveship/daedalus), with explosions both in the original scene and added in PS, as well as the lens flares.
